Alina Schenk, Founder and Optimizer.

My career started in corporate sales. I sold tobacco in the Bay Area, which sounds like a strange starting point, but it taught me everything about pipelines, follow-through, and what actually closes a deal. It also taught me that most businesses have all the activity and none of the system behind it.

I moved into the nonprofit world next. I ran the volunteer program at a homeless shelter, and it was there that I noticed something I had been doing my whole career without naming it: I could see patterns. I could see what was going to break before it broke. I could see the fix 10 steps out, even when nobody else could see the problem yet.

The challenge was getting others to see it too. So I learned how to slow down. How to bring people with me instead of just running ahead.

Then came tech. I oversaw a habit tracking app. Then I led an implementation team. And everywhere I went, I saw the same disconnect: companies had great tools and broken processes. The systems were set up for how someone imagined the business worked, not how it actually worked.

That is the gap The Ops Architect was built to close.
